JCAA is an open-access journal that focuses on the application and development of digital technologies in archaeology. This rapidly growing field of research is scattered across journals focused upon topics such as period- and region-specific archaeology and specific digital technologies. Accordingly, JCAA's objective is to foster debate about the crucial role of digital technologies within archaeology, and to promote the theoretically informed and interdisciplinary use of digital methods The journal will accept submissions on a wide variety of topics in digital applications to archaeology, including, but not restricted to, 3D modelling, spatial analysis, remote sensing, geophysics, field recording techniques, databases, semantic web, statistics, data mining, simulation modelling, network analysis and digital reconstructions of the past. Papers can be targeted towards scientific research, cultural heritage management and/or public archaeology. Join the conversation about this journal
