Scope

Sports Coaching Review is the leading-edge critical publication for the international community of sports coaching scholars, students and practitioners. The journal welcomes work utilizing qualitative, quantitative and/or mixed methodologies, in addition to discussions of conceptual issues related to sports coaching research. Submitted manuscripts must be informed by a theoretical perspective, whilst written in such a way as to be accessible to the broad community of sports coaching scholars. A principal objective of the journal is to publish interrogative articles which engender debate on issues related to sports coaching theory and practice - for example, the power relations, the learning context[s], the psychological and social complexity, and the discourse, interactions and exchanges evident in coaching relations and networks. In doing so, the journal is central to the development of a critical body of knowledge for the emerging discipline and profession of sports coaching. Join the conversation about this journal
