Scope

Obesity Science & Practice is a bi-mothly journal which offers prompt publication of high-quality original research and presents new information in the areas of clinical nutrition medicine, pharmacology, nutrition medicine, genetics, adipogenesis, behavioral epidemiology, biophysics and lipid metabolism, exercise and human physiology, nutritional epidemiology, phenotyping, fat cell physiology, aging, neuroscience, transgenic models, metabolic syndrome, nutrition behavior, pediatric obesity, and adipocyte cell biology. The journal publishes papers of interest to researchers in academic, clinical, government and industry roles working to develop, test, and refine new medical, behavioral, dietary, pharmacologic and surgical approaches to treat obesity. The journal also publishes papers of interest to professionals engaged in the clinical management of obesity and its related comorbidities as well as individuals actively involved in the prevention of obesity at the local, regional, national and international level. Acceptance of papers is based on the originality of the observation or investigation, the quality of the work described, the clarity of presentation, and the relevance to our readership.
