Scope

Revista de Investigación Educativa (RIE) is distinguished for its general profile of an international nature and its openness to society. RIE is useful for the scientific community and particularly for any professional from an educational field with an interest in pedagogical research. This journal intends to spread empirical research papers which carry out a synthesis-review of a topic, methodological proposals, etc. The publication of scientific work in the following sections will be considered and the journal would be open to accept and publish quality papers focused on educational research. Papers which describe its methodology in a strict and clear way will have preference. For the acceptance of an article in the RIE journal, the research must be of general interest, as well as generalizable. This implies that the sample must seek representativeness (whether quantitative or qualitative studies) or a wide variability of essential elements for its generalization (cases, situations, ...), which excludes experiences and case studies (except in very extraordinary conditions, which implies a clear and significant innovation - conceptual, procedural, etc.).
