Scope

Mastozoología Neotropical includes original research articles, reviews that summarize existing knowledge on a topic, book reviews, and abstracts of undergraduate or doctoral theses on Neotropical mammals. Mastozoología Neotropical publishes relevant articles on biogeography, developmental biology, behavior, conservation, distribution, ecology, evolution, physiology, genetics, morphology, paleontology, parasitology, systematics, taxonomy and zoonosis, where the biology of terrestrial and aquatic (non-human) mammals is the central theme of research. The journal is open access (free acquisition) and free of charge to publish for members of SAREM and SBMz. Mastozoología Neotropical is a member of the basic core of scientific journals of CONICET and is indexed in Zoological Record, Wildlife Review, Biological Abstracts (BIOSIS), Latindex (level 1), SCImago (Quartile 3), Scopus and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library OnLine). It is published biannually, and exclusively in digital format since 2017. The journal Mastozoología Neotropical has been published since 1994 with the support of the Sociedad Argentina para el Estudio de los Mamíferos (SAREM) and, more recently (2016), of the Sociedade Brasileira de Mastozoologia (SBMz). Its articles are peer-reviewed by academics to ensure the publication of high quality papers. Join the conversation about this journal

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
