How to publish in this journal

Scope

The Journal of Latin American Geography is dedicated to publishing original, high quality, and refereed manuscripts that represent the broad spectrum of geographic perspectives on and from Latin America. We are committed to publishing articles in English, Spanish, and Portuguese with the intention of bringing the region's best scholarship to the broadest possible audience. The Journal of Latin American Geography builds upon the tradition of the CLAG Yearbook, which published a selection of peer-reviewed papers by distinguished geographers and other scholars from 1985 until 2002. Our contributors are from every country in the Americas and we count on a wide geographic and thematic range of expert reviewers to guarantee the highest possible quality of scholarship. JLAG publishes three time per year and includes original article-length scholarship as well as book reviews and an innovative section called JLAG Perspectives. In Perspectives, we first publish shorter reflections from leading scholars in an electronic format in an effort to bring expert opinions to bear on current events. We then publish these contributions in print as part of our permanent collection. Join the conversation about this journal
