Scope

E-Bm.com: Journal of Sport Sciences (EBM-J Sport Sci) is an international scientific peer-reviewed journal in electronic format only. The journal aims to disseminate quality knowledge research on the physical activity, sport and physical education sciences. Articles may be published in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The publication is quarterly [v1: January-April; v2: May-August; v3: September-December). EBM-J Sport Sci editors first evaluate all the manuscript received to identify that they comply with the scope and journal guidelines. If the requirements are met, they subsequently undergo a double-blind peer-review process. EBM-J Sport Sci especially valued the papers that include a practical application section of physical education and sport in order to better contribute to society. EBM-J Sport Sci publishes empirical research carried out from any methodological approach, knowledge discipline (analysis of training and competition, education, gender studies, psychology, medicine, sociology, economics, history, etc.), type of sports conception (recreational, educational, sports performance), as well as meta-analyses and quality theoretical reviews (only 10% of this type of work will be published). Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
