JCI Insight articles may build on existing paradigms in the field or provide hypothesis-generating findings (see editorial). Examples of studies suitable for JCI Insight include, but are not limited to, human genetics research, new mouse models of disease, in vivo studies of disease mechanisms, precision medicine, clinical and biomarker studies, and studies that provide new resources for the biomedical research community. Studies should include a relevant in vivo model system and/or a primary human cell or tissue model. Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.
